Dr. Michael J. Moore, PhD

CEO & Founder

MSL (2018 to present)

Michael J. Moore, PhD is a Korean American adoptee, award-winning public speaker, and high-performing Medical Affairs professional with an accomplished 6-year career in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industry.

Just six months after graduating with his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University. Dr. Moore successfully defied the odds by breaking through to pharma and landing a coveted full-time Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role. Today, he serves in a dual. hybrid role at Theranica USA Inc. as a Senior Migraine MSL and the Head of Field Medical Training & Development.

As an MSL, he strives to advance the modern-day state of medicine and evidenced-based clinical practices in a designated therapeutic area by educating and establishing collaborative relationships with world-renowned medical thought leaders with diverse professional experiences in various-sized companies, Dr. Moore possesses a unique perspective of the industry at large, a clear understanding of the complex, yet critical role Medical Affairs plays within the company, and a sharp insight into the more abstract, granular nuances of the profession (e.g., scientific storytelling, relationship-building, etc.). He resides in Austin, TX with his lovably goofy White German Shepherd, Chingu, and is a lover of life, travel, film, and adventures (not in that order).

Part unapologetic science nerd, part extroverted "people person," part lifelong learner- Dr. Moore has and continues to serve as both a passionate advocate for the MSL career and trusted mentor to incoming generations of future pharma/med tech professionals.

Dr. Simon Kim, PharmD

COO & CFO

MSL (2021 to present)

Simon Kim, PharmD is a Medical Affairs professional with a diverse background that includes clinical psychiatric pharmacy practice, management, and operations.

Three years after graduating with his Pharm.D. from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy with no residency or fellowship, Dr. Kim successfully broke into his first Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role. Today, he serves as a Senior Neuroscience MSL at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc.

As an MSL, Dr. Kim brings his first-hand knowledge of how an MSL can provide value to clinicians by delivering the most-up-to date scientific information that is easily digestible, yet highly technical (e.g., scientific storytelling) and what clinicians actually want out of a relationship with an MSL. Dr. Kim also brings a unique understanding of how the major players in the health care system (e.g., health systems, hospitals, clinics, payors) ultimately affect patient outcomes.

He resides in Seattle, WA with his lovely wife Shoko, high-octane two-year old son Sean, and his cats Haru & Bom. He enjoys travel, food, cooking, film, and the occasional goofy adventure.
